 Sir Knights of Piedmont Commandery #26:

1) Congratulations to our new Piedmont Commandery Sir Knights:
SK Walt Petterman, SK Ron Phillips, SK Jacob Yatts

2) We need nine Sir Knights present to hold a Conclave, and to open in full form, we need at least 12 and preferably 16 in uniform. To all Officers: I would request that you contact me or the Recorder if you absolutely cannot be present at any of our conclaves.
Please note that our Commandery needs to execute full-form openings, a DDGC reception ceremony, and a Grand Commander’s Reception ceremony in the nest 30 days. It will take concentrated effort by all our officers and members to execute this successfully.
Without your regular monthly attendance support, our Commandery cannot have a successful year.

3) The Official Visit of the new Grand Commander of Virginia 2007-2008, Francis Michael (Mike) McGrath, is planned for Saturday, 21 July at Manassas Lodge, with a noon meal and a 1 P.M. tiled meeting, to include a full-form opening.

4) Our Thursday, June 28, 2007 meeting will begin with dinner at 6:30 prior to our 7:30 meeting. I plan to open all meetings in full form for the training of all officers newly in line and as a refresher for all Sir Knights who might appreciate a review. I hope to have interesting programs at each of our meetings and would be delighted to see all possible Sir Knights at every meeting. All officers for 2007-2008 should be present.

5) Please plan on bringing your Virginia Grand Commandery Knights Templar Ritual Digest to all meetings in the coming year as we will be working extensively with the Digest material. If you do not have a current Digest, let me or the Recorder know and for $15.00, a Ritual Digest copy and 3-ring binder version will be provided to you.
There is a shortage of the newly-revised Digests at the Grand Recorders office, but we have several on order and will make them available as soon as they are received. If you have previously asked for one, please remind our Recorder so he does not order a second one for you.

6) We would also like to have each Sir Knight, especially all of the officers, both elected and appointed, in full uniform at every meeting. Uniform purchase information is available at:

7) 2007 dues have increased to $41.00 to cover a Grand Encampment increase in per-capita tax. Your dues cards will be mailed as soon as your dues are received by the Recorder. If you intend to stay current, please bring a check made out to Piedmont Commandery No. 26, with ‘2007 Dues’ on the check “NOTE” line to our Recorder, SK Barry at our next meeting, or mail your check to 621 Third Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170-3145.

8) For your calendars, the following District Templar events are planned:

June 28: District Deputy Grand Commander’s Official Visit to Piedmont Commandery No. 26
July 6: District Deputy Grand Commander’s Official Visit to Arlington Commandery No. 29
July 21: Grand Commander’s Official Visit to District 3 at Manassas Lodge. Lunch at 1200 noon; guarded conclave at 1:00 pm

Sir Knights, if you know of a Royal Arch Mason who is not a Knight Templar, ask him to become one and join us now.
