Dear Brethren, Companions, and Sir Knights,
It is with Sadness that I inform you of the passing of Sister Helen Van Houten, Widow of the late Donald M. Van Houten, please see info below:
HELEN VAN HOUTEN Helen Van Houten, 97, a resident of Arden Courts of
Kensington, MD, formerly of Manassas, VA, passed away on Friday, August
13, 2010. Mrs. Van Houten was born in Manhattan on October 29, 1912. She
worked as a nurse at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and later as a
cafeteria manager for Arlington County Public Schools. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Donald M. Van Houten in 1996. Survivors include
a son, Donald T. Van Houten and wife, Graciela; two grandchildren, Luis
Bustillos and Richard Bustillos and wife, Dawn; a great-granddaughter,
Brianna Grace Bustillos.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August
18 at the Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Rd., Manassas, VA
20109. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Thursday, August 19 at the
funeral Home. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery. Online
condolences may be expressed to the family at
www.foundandsons.com
There will also be an Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service for Helen
at 7:30pm on Wednesday August 18th. Please keep the Van
Houten Family in your prayers during this time of loss. Please contact
the funeral home for further information.
